Dr. Seela moved to Orlando, Florida after finishing his fellowship in Gastroenterology at Yale University School of Medicine, one of the finest programs in the country. During his training he spent a significant amount of time in basic and clinical research, and has published articles in Gastroenterology literature.

His interests include advanced and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, colorectal cancer screening, Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), metabolic and other liver disorders.

Dr. Seela is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases (AASLD), and Crohn's Colitis Foundation (CCF).

In addition to being an Assistant Professor at the University of Central Florida School of Medicine, he is also a teaching attending physician at both the Florida Hospital Internal Medicine Residency and Family Practice Residence (MD and DO) programs. He is a

Dr. Harinath Sheela has served as the Chairman at Florida Hospital's Department of Gastroenterology. He is also an active member of the Orange County Medical Society and sits on the Board of Directors.

Dr. Moin Kola is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist who has provided Gastroenterology services in Central Florida for 10 years. Dr. Kola completed his Gastroenterology fellowship at Case Western Reserve University and Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) visiting fellowship with Crohn's and colitis Foundation of America at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Kola served as Chief Fellow during the last year of his fellowship training.

Dr. Kola started his gastroenterology training in England and hold the distinction of being a member of Royal College of physicians of the United Kingdom , MRCP (UK). Dr. Kola was actively involved in the clinical and basic science research during the course of his fellowship. He has published his work in the the national and international peer reviewed Gastroenterology and Hepatology journals.

Dr. Kola's expertise include colon cancer screening, gastroesophageal reflux disease, peptic ulcer disease, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, irritable bowel syndrome, fatty liver disease and various and various other gastroenterology and liver disorders. Dr. Jessica Narváez-Lugo, a board-certified doctor in Gastroenterology, obtained her medical degree in 2003 from Ponce Health Sciences University in Puerto Rico, formerly known as Ponce School of Medicine. After completing her internal medicine residency at the VA Caribbean Healthcare System, she pursued an additional year as a training program leader becoming a Chief Resident. She acquired a high-quality training during her fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine and its affiliated hospitals.

Dr. Narváez-Lugo is passionate about diagnosing and treating all gastrointestinal disorders but has special interest for Abdominal Pain, Anemias, Gastrointestinal Bleeding, Constipation, Diarrhea, Diverticulosis, Swallowing Disorders, Gallbladder Disorders, Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease (GERD), Liver Diseases such as Hepatitis C (HCV), Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD, such as Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's Disease), Irritable Bowel Syndrome, and Peptic Ulcer Disease.

Sheryl Rosa-Cruz, MD

Dr. Sheryl Rosa-Cruz has a dual board certification in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. She received her degree in Doctor of Medicine from the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico in 2009, where she graduated with honors. Afterwards, she fulfilled her internship year at the New York Medical College. Continuing her training, she completed her specialty in Internal Medicine and then her fellowship in Gastroenterology at the VA Caribbean Healthcare Center in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After residency and prior to starting fellowship, Dr. Rosa-Cruz had the privilege of being a Chief Resident for a year, and she was also appointed the Chief Fellow on her final year of the Gastroenterology subspecialty training.

Dr. Rosa-Cruz's interests include diagnosing and treating all gastrointestinal disorders including Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), abdominal pain, H.pylori, peptic ulcer disease, constipation, diarrhea, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, and liver disorders among others. She is also an advocate of the importance of timely colorectal cancer screening.

Dr. Rosa is completely fluent in Spanish as well as English. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterology Association.

Dr. Douglas Weissman is a Board-Certified Gastroenterologist as well as an advanced Endoscopist. Dr. Weissman completed his postgraduate training at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. Following that, he moved to South Florida where he started his own private practice.

He then completed a biliary endoscopic fellowship in Santiago, Chile under the auspices of Dr Jerome Waye and Dr Claudio Navarette, a well known and highly regarded biliary endoscopist and Mount Sinai Hospital.

After returning back to the United States, Dr. Weissman built up a highly successful practice in Coral Springs, Florida for which he served for greater than 20 years with distinction.

During his time in private practice, he was further able to complete an advanced endosonograhy fellowship in Montreal, Canada under the guidance of Drs. Anand Sahai and Sarto Paquin who are both world renowned endosonographers.

Following the sale of his practice, he was heavily recruited to the state of Indiana by a leading tertiary care facility trauma center and comprehensive cancer center. There Dr. Weissman was afforded the opportunity to work with exemplary gastroenterologists medical and surgical oncologists where he was introduced to the most complex cases in the state.

After leaving the state of Indiana he had decided to return to the state of Florida to be closer to his family. Over the years Dr. Weissman has learned many things but a few caveats truly stand out:

  1. Good doctors always try to do the right thing
  2. Great doctors do the right thing and are able to communicate with their peers and patients in a timely and efficient manner their plan of action
  3. You are only as good as your supporting cast for respect of everyone
