Dr. Leonor Santos is a graduate of the School of Medicine from the University of Puerto Rico. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at Saint Francis Hospital & Medical Center, Connecticut and her Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of New York in Buffalo, NY. She is Board Certified in Internal Medicine with specialties in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
Dr. Santos has published numerous articles in national peer reviewed Gastroenterology journals. She has provided services in the Central Florida region for over 20 years. She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Dr. Santos’s specialties include Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD), Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS), esophageal disorders that include reflux, indigestion and dysphagia. She is certified in colon cancer detection, removal of polyps, non-surgical hemorrhoid banding, and capsule endoscopy.
She is a member of the Diplomate of the American Board of Gastroenterology, American College of Gastroenterology (ACG), American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE), American College of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Medical Examiners.
