Most stomach aches in children are not dangerous. Kids get viral stomach bugs, constipation, and stress-related tummy pain.
But take it seriously — and get seen same day — if your child has:
- Severe belly pain that won’t let them stand up straight
- Fever plus stomach pain
- Repeated vomiting or can’t keep fluids down
- Pain in the lower right area of the belly
- Blood in stool
For children, dehydration can set in fast. If they’re not drinking or they’re getting weaker, that’s urgent.
What to do:
If you’re seeing any of those red flags, bring them to GI Urgent Care of Florida today.
If it’s mild and comes and goes (especially around school or stress), schedule a follow-up with Digestive & Liver Centers of Florida so we can look for constipation, diet triggers, reflux, or functional pain.
