Dr. Wanita Patterson DNP, APRN
She is a graduate from University of Florida and has over 40 years experience in many areas including gastroenterology, cardiology, internal medicine and functional/restorative medicine. She has been a part of Digestive and Liver Center of Florida since 2013 you might see her making hospital rounds on weekends. She is also a favored frequent speaker at our practice.
She also has her own practice called Modern Medical and Wellness and in her practice she specializes in nutritional support w botanical medicine and supplements, weight loss, cancer support and bioidentical hormone therapy for men and women.
Gabrielle Bains, ARNP-C, MSN
She has worked at Digestive and Liver Center of Florida since 2012 helping our practice deliver the highest level of Compassionate, Caring and Sophisticated medical care. She is a graduate from the University of Central Florida. Gabrielle may see you at the hospital along with one of our Physicians if you are ever admitted. Her background in the medical industry includes involvement in an array of Professional Organizations. As an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner, she has plenty of experience in Critical care, Multi-system Progressive Care Units, Medical Diabetes Unit, as well as other Health services.
Thelma Teresa Nelson, APRN-C, MSN
She has served our team @ Digestive and Liver Center of Florida since 2014. Some of her past educational merits include an M.S.N., Adult Nurse Practitioner w/ Honors from the University of Central Florida, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society in 2011. Prior to this achievement, she graduated in May 2008 w/ a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Nursing from the University of Central Florida. She has worked as an RN since 2008, and carries over 8 years of professional experience as an APRN in the acute care setting, Rehab facility, and office setting.
Ashley Clark, MSN, ARNP-C.
Ashley began her journey with Digestive and Liver Center of Florida just over a year ago. In 2017, she was merited her Master's degree of Science in Nursing from the University of South Florida. Prior to this accomplishment, she completed her BSN from the University of Central Florida in 2013. To supplement her experience in the Nurse Practitioner field, a clinical rotation was completed at DLCFL as a Nurse Practitioner student. She currently makes daily hospital rounds @ Advent Health east in Orlando, and Winter Park. You may see her at any one of these campuses, as she is our float Nurse Practitioner.
Sonia Washington, ARNP
She has served our team at The Digestive and Liver Center of Florida since 2016. In 2007, she earned her Master's degree in Nursing at the University of Central Florida. Prior to this milestone in her career, she was merited a Bachelor's in Nursing from the University of Puerto Rico in Rio Piedras, PR. She is heavily involved in various organizations, such as the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Florida Nurse Association Nurse Practice Council (FNANCP), among others. She is an experienced ARNP w/ 25 years of nursing expertise, with the last 7 years as an ARNP in Nephrology and dialysis. Some of her past experience includes nursing in Trauma and Internal medicine.
Amy P. Romito PA-C
She forms part of our team here at the Digestive and Liver Center of Florida. In 2014, She earned her Master of Clinical Medical Sciences in Physician Assistant Studies at Nova Southeastern University. Prior to this milestone in her career, she received a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Health Sciences at the University of Central Florida in 2012. Along her journey to becoming a Certified Physician Assistant, she has undergone a vast amount of time working many clinical rotations to develop her skills in this field. Some of these include rotations based on the following areas: Plastics and Reconstructive Surgery, Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Behavorial Health, Family Medicine, Internal medicine, among others. She has over 4 years of experience as a PA-C within the urgent care setting.
Hyacinth Addison, ARNP, MSN
She is an active staff member of our team at The Digestive and Liver Center of Florida. Some of her past educational merits include a Master’s of Science in Nursing w/ honors from South University in Savannah, Georgia in 2015. Prior to this advancement in her career, she had been merited a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix in 2011. However, her ambition to become an ARNP goes back to 2001 when she received her Associate of Applied Science in Nursing at Raritan Valley Community College. She remains affiliated with the Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society. Hyacinth is an industry expert with more than 16 years of experience in the hospital setting w/ an emphasis on ICU, PCU, Cardiac Step Down, and Oncology nursing care.

Shelly Ann Scott DNP, APRN-C
Shelly started working with Digestive and Liver Center of Florida since 2005! She was the first Nurse Practitioner on board with the team at Digestive and Liver Center of Florida. She graduated from Seminole State in 1998, and was merited her Nurse Practitioner degree in 2003. Furthermore, Shelly was a part of the first graduating class of UCF's Clinical Doctoral program in 2010. Her research is titled, "Retrospective Analysis" of HCC screening in Cirrhotic patients. You may encounter Shelly rounding at Advent Health Winter Park.
